Will I receive a diploma at the end of the session?
Yes, you will be given a certificate of achievement after validation of each level.
Our Medinatouna program consists of 12 progressive levels. Upon completion of the full program, students who have obtained an iqama may, under certain conditions, receive an official diploma recognized by the Saudi state.
To access the next level, a minimum score of 75/100 is required.
Is Medinatouna a recognized institute?
Yes. Medinatouna is an Arabic language center based in Medina., approved by the Saudi state, located approximately an 18-minute walk from the Prophet's Mosque (Masjid An-Nabawi ﷺ). Resident students can obtain a [certificate/diploma] upon completion of their studies. diploma recognized by the Saudi state.
What teaching method do you use?
Our exclusive program from the Medinatouna Institute, reviewed and revised by our expert teachers. The curriculum includes 12 progressive levels, from complete beginner to full autonomy.
Who are the teachers?
Qualified professors, including Egyptians, some of whom hold multiple degrees over 20 years of experience in teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers. The sisters are supervised by female teachers.
How many students are there per class?
Classes generally count 8 to 13 students, To ensure that each participant receives real attention, the sessions are intentionally limited in size.
Do you also teach the Quran, tajwid, or religious sciences?
No. The institute is entirely dedicated to the Arabic language. This is a pedagogical choice: a student who attends classes and completes their homework will eventually be able to understand the Quran and a large part of religious doctrine in Arabic on their own, in sha Allah.
Is there a level test?
Yes. One. A level test will take place upon your arrival.. It determines your level of Arabic, your group, and your schedule: students are divided by level (and by age groups for children), never randomly.
What level do you reach at the end of the course?
With diligence in class and at home, the student who completes the course understands the Arabic language and can read the Quran, and can follow a large part of the religious courses and gatherings in Arabic, in sha Allah.
📅 Sessions, schedules and organization
When can we start?
The sessions begin at the start of each month and are open all year round. We recommend arriving in the first few days of the month (ideally before the 3rd) to take the test and join your class from the start. Arriving mid-month is still possible: contact us for a suitable solution.
What are the class times?
The classes take place usually in the morning — the first slot starts at 6:45 a.m.. Your exact schedule will be provided to you. after the level test, depending on your class.
How many hours of classes per day?
3 hours of classes per day, 5 days a week, supplemented by homework assignments. 2 hours of structured Arabic lessons And 1 hour of oral expression and vocabulary — Chafawi, Attendance at both makes all the difference.
Can I extend my stay?
Yes, and many students do. You can book 1 to 5 months depending on your objectives, then extend on site depending on availability (the rate in effect at the time of the extension applies).
👩🏫 Women and families
Can the sisters study at Medinatouna?
Yes. Sisters residing in Medina can participate in the courses under strict conditions of modesty: separate rooms, dedicated schedules and teaching provided by women.
On the other hand, sisters subscribing to a "course + accommodation" package must be accompanied by their mahram for the entire duration of their stay.
Are the men's and women's classes really separate?
Completely: separate rooms, separate schedules, female supervision for the sisters.
From what age do you accept children?
Of the 6 years. Children, teenagers, and adults study using adapted teaching methods—including for children who have never studied Arabic before. There is no age limit for adults: students, working professionals, families, and retirees are all welcome.
Do you offer a package for the whole family?
Yes, the Family Pack : courses for the whole family (separate levels), private family accommodation WiFi included (fully furnished apartment: bedrooms, living room, equipped kitchen), adapted activities and discoveries, Umrah for families according to the package.
🏠 Residents of Medina (iqama)
I live in Medina with an iqama: can I register?
Yes, the institute welcomes residents and muhajirun settled in Medina — brothers, sisters and children.
What is the rate for residents?
We also offer, depending on the situation, a special rate for muhajirun and residents in need.
Registration is done directly on site or via WhatsApp.
Can a child be registered for the entire school year?
Yes, the 12 levels follow each other progressively. Registration can therefore be renewed month after month, throughout the year.
Subsequently, in addition to Arabic, we will also offer other subjects such as mathematics, French, and other useful teachings, in sha Allah.
💳 Prices, booking and payment
How do I reserve my place?
Directly on the site (secure online payment) or via WhatsApp ; the settlement by PayPal Bank transfer is also possible. Upon receipt of payment, you will be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group with all the practical information to prepare for your arrival.
Can I pay in installments?
The chosen package must be paid for in full at the time of registration.
For family packages, payment in two installments is possible: the first payment is made via PayPal to the address contact@medinatouna.com, then the second payment is made upon your arrival, in sha Allah.
Please send your proof of payment directly to WhatsApp so that we can confirm your registration and reserve your place.
You can then extend your stay month by month if you wish. In this case, the rate in effect at the time of the extension will apply.
I did not receive a confirmation email after my payment, is this normal?
First, check your spam folder. If you don't find anything, write to us at WhatsApp With your name and the date of payment: we confirm your reservation immediately. Your place is secured as soon as the payment is processed.
My card payment was declined, what should I do?
This happens with some banks for payments to Saudi Arabia: notify your bank, try again, or pay via PayPal at contact@medinatouna.com or by bank transfer by writing to us at WhatsApp — we always find a solution.
✈️ Visa, travel and accommodation
Which visa should I apply for?
For a language immersion program, the tourist visa or an Umrah from Saudi Arabia is sufficient. You can obtain it yourself online, or entrust the process to us (option at €140If you wish to complete the process yourself, you can do so by following all the steps indicated. on this site.
Is the plane ticket included?
No, you are responsible for the cost of the plane ticket. Everything else depends on the package you choose. To find the best fares, you can search and book your tickets. book your flight directly on this site.
Is accommodation included?
Depending on the package: packages with accommodation include lodging near the institute; the Family Pack includes... entire private apartment. with Wi-Fi included, See examples of our accommodations in photos
Is the Umrah included?
Yes, some packages with activities include a full 2-night Umrah, with hotel in Mecca — Kiswa Tower or equivalent — as well as return transport Medina ↔ Mecca.
This option is only included when explicitly stated in the chosen package. Therefore, it is not included in the "Arabic language sessions only" packages.
